Posing for the Camera
Why every confident model looks awkward in their first hundred shots — and the drills that fix it.

Posing is muscle memory, not magic.
**The S-curve.** Shift weight onto the back foot, push one hip out slightly, lengthen the opposite arm. Instantly more dynamic.
**Eyes drive the image.** Soft eyes for editorial, sharp eyes for commercial, downcast for mood. Practice each in a mirror.
**Micro-movements.** Move 5–10% between frames — chin angle, hand placement, weight distribution. Photographers love variation.
**The 100-shot rule.** Shoot 100 self-timer frames a week. Delete the worst 90. Study what made the keepers work.
